Quality and genuine expertise in the field of industrial valves – this is what the name NOPA has stood for since 1996. What once began as a mere trading company underwent rapid development. Today, our service is based on three important pillars:

Decision of Michael Schmidt and his business partners Friedrich Samoray and Klaus-Joachim Ernst to establish a valve company in Eisenhüttenstadt. On may 22nd NOPA is founded.
1997 The first office in Eisenhüttenstadt
On January 2, 1997, the first office is moved into at Werkstrasse 22 in Eisenhüttenstadt and a valve warehouse is opened. Later two more offices are rented. Already in 1998 the company consists of four employees.
2002 First certification – din en iso 9001:2000
These and other standards regulate the operational requirements for processes and systems as well as work techniques and many internal processes.
2003 The company moves into its own building
At the end of 2000, the decision is made to construct our own building with a hall. In November 2003, 5 employees and 2 trainees move into the new building. The new building is officially opened at the end of January 2004 together with customers, suppliers and friends.
2004 Establishment of the fittings service
In spring 2004, the development of the valve service for the maintenance and repair of valves began.
2005 NOPA NOXY
Re-Certification – DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 + DGRL 97/23/EG The modification of valves for the oxygen sector requires a CE-marking by NOPA, which now allows us the certificate according to DGRL 97/23/EG.

2006 Occupational safety system
Due to the integrated repair and service area in 2004, a corresponding work safety system became indispensable.
2008 Introduction of SAP
Conversion of our merchandise management system to sap business one.
2009 first large order over 1,3 mio €
Client KAB Takuma, builder EnBW with the new construction of an RDF power plant in Eisenhüttenstadt.
2010 Extension of mobile valve service
We invest 400.000,- € in a service truck and two test benches for our branch “valve service”. Thus we increase the comfort for employees and customers.
2011 Market development Poland
NOPA industrial valves are now also available to polish customers for advice and support. For this purpose new jobs in the office and field service were created.
2014 Development of the petrochemical sector
Certification – DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 + DGRL 97/23/EG MODULE H + SCCP:2011 (safety certificate contractors for petrochemicals) – opens the door for us to the petrochemical sector.
2015 Service representation of Kühme Armaturen GmbH
NOPA takes over the service representation of KÜHME Armaturen GmbH for the postal code areas 0-1.
2016 Persta factory representation
NOPA becomes PERSTA factory representative for the new federal states.
2017 Sole shareholder
Michael Schmidt becomes sole shareholder of NOPA Industriearmaturen GMBH.
2017 Certified for independent acceptance of safety valves
Re-Certification + adaptation to the new standard from DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015; + adaptation and upgrade to the new standard from PED 97/23/EC MODULE H to PED 2014/68/EU MODULE H1 – this enables us for the first time to independently accept safety valves.
2018 Nopa becomes service partner of the company Hora GmbH & Co. kg
We represent the company hora in eastern Germany to offer our customers a fast and close service. Years of experience, know-how, communication based on partnership and trust make us the partner of the market-leading control valve manufacturer.
